Calef public library offers free of charge community classes and programs for its members at the main hall of the building. Each and every class is for the benefit of your society. The goal of our public library is one-to build erudite and knowledgeable young society for a better future.
Summer Reading classes for youngsters
For students ages 13-18 a reading class will be organized all thru summer holidays, every Monday and Friday evening-5:00PM. The classes are going to be 1-2 hours long, during which, the books required to read by school throughout summer holidays will be read and discussed. Class members will be able to see more detailed information via our online library. In order to register for class you need to do it either by telephone, or at the help-desk in Calef library.
Computer Basics Class.
This class is designed exclusively for youngsters ages 5-9. During classes kinds will be told the minimum basic of computer using. Like turning on and off the computer, keyboard/typing skills, mouse using methods, opening and closing of the windows, pages, minimizing, maximizing, and scrolling up and down. The classes will be passing in the computer lab and are free of charge. In order to register your child for this class, you need to do in at help-desk, or via soon coming digital library.
Story Time for Babies
Parents of children 0-18 moths are more than welcomed at Calef library each Tuesday and Friday at 1:00PM for story time. During this event, parent can meet and chat with other parents in neighborhood, children can enjoy playing or baby-communicating with each other. All of this is kindly escorted by bay stories told by our volunteers or library assistants. For such a wonderful idea the example was set by national library and library of congress,, which also have such kinds of services and events.
Anne Bradley: Sculptures & Paintings Exhibition
Anne Bradley a very unique and unusual artist and a great painter will be exhibiting her old and fresh works at Calef library through August 10, 2012. Anne has worked comprehensively all through six regions of Vermont. In 2005has been awarded with the bronze Medal of Arts and her work was professed as donating to the Local Scholastic and Cultural Inheritance. It is a great honor to have her at our public library. We kindly ask you to join us as and take a renewed look at the works of Anne-Bradley. The exhibition will be running all thru August.

We're considering people eager to contribute only several hours of their precious time on continuing basis. Calef library doesn’t admit volunteers over any court-ordered or alteration programs.
Volunteers at Calef public library may comprise the following tasks: making sure that our collection is in the right and accurate order), computer assistance-assisting others sign in into their digital library catalog and chose whatever they needed, program supporting or tutoring youngsters at homework department.
